Reviews for Chemistry Tutors

5.0

Ms Fitzgerald-graham - My son has been really enjoying his lessons with Simon. He had really disengaged with physics and was struggling but Simon has managed to get him focused and interested. Simon is an enthusiastic and highly experienced teacher with an obvious passion for his subject which shines through. Highly recommended.

Mr Ali - Very approachable. Helped my son deal with a subject he was struggling with. Really helped him to understand and do well in the exams

Mr Wellappili - Patient with structured approach.

K Wong - Neil is highly professional and takes immense care in tailoring the sessions to support his students best. I was really impressed with the comprehensive feedback after each session and the corresponding 'homework', which helped to pinpoint areas that needed extra attention for my son. A sense of positivity and genuine enthusiasm perfectly complemented this. My son gained so much from his sessions with Neil: newfound confidence, a positive attitude towards learning, a deeper understanding of the principles covered in the syllabus and, unbelievably, the desire to take Chemistry to A-Level (although the Humanities are his first love).

M Woolf - Neil is an excellent teacher at GCSE and A-Level. He gave our sons a clear understanding of all topics and an enthusiasm for the subject. Both said he is one of the best teachers they've had. We have found Neil to be encouraging, personable and completely reliable. He also produced the top grades without that being the main focus of the tutoring.

Dr Nuttall - Waheed taught my son for two years in preparation for his Science GCSE. Waheed not only helped my son to secure excellent grades in the subject, but also built his confidence as a student. Waheed turned out to be more than a science tutor to my son; he and his cousin, who also had lessons with Waheed, saw him as an inspirational role model. Through his teaching, Waheed was able to reinforce the importance of values such as hard work, and respect. My son, naturally a shy person, found an adult that he was at ease communicating with. Waheed was exceedingly flexible in providing additional lessons in the run up to the GCSEs, which was very useful in focusing preparation upon the individual papers. We will always be grateful for Waheed's efforts, and glad that we found such a wise and engaging teacher.

Dr Rachel Brown - My son had struggled with online learning during lockdown and emerged into his Year 11 with huge gaps in his knowledge and his confidence. As he is shy, he did not want to start learning with someone new, so it was always going to be a challenge for him to build a relationship in a short space of time via online teaching. Waheed did an incredible job of plugging the many gaps in his science knowledge, teaching him how to revise and organise himself but, more importantly, building his confidence and helping him overcome his mental blocks. In the period around his exams, Waheed tailored his timings and lessons to provide maximum support, and my son emerged with excellent results, despite science having been his weakest subject. Away from the actual learning, Waheed inspired my son with his warmth and care for him as a student, and I hope he's still available when my daughter is ready for her GCSEs.

Alice M - My son is doing so well with Jonathan. He is a superb tutor and a great ambassador for your company.

Gemma Adele - Jonathan has been tutoring my son in GCSE Science Trilogy, and Geography for the last year. Jonathan's input has been a great success. He inspired my son and quickly formed an excellent bond, which resulted in hard work and enthusiasm from an otherwise academically rather unenthusiastic young man - so much so that my son actually looked forward to his tutorials - a real achievement. My son's knowledge has improved a great deal and he was much more confident going into his exams than he's been in the past. Jonathan has put a great deal of work and thought into this year, and I wholeheartedly recommend his work to anyone looking for GCSE assistance.

Mr Brown - Genuinely brilliant. My daughter was hugely impressed by Chris's knowledge, adaptability, and ability to explain complex subjects with clarity. She wished he had been her teacher. I cannot recommend highly enough. If he's available - book him - asap.

Ms Chester - My son's immediately clicked with Chris, they found he explained concepts in ways that made sense at their own pace, in a patient clear and effective manner. So often after a lesson they would tell me how they now understood a subject that had previously eluded them! It was a great support through their Alevel chemistry home learning.

Mr Barros - Ver patient and effective with my son, managed to get him to enjoy his lessons and learn. Very flexible with accommodating requests for changing bookings.

Mr Kumi - Heather is an affable tutor who takes her time to inculcate the fundamentals of the topics/subjects for the student to understand. She has brought my daughter up to be able to perform excellently in her exams and predicted grades. I will not hesitate to recommend Heather to any student/parent

Amanda Barnes - I was really struggling to find ways to help my son with his science subjects when he was feeling demotivated and lacking in confidence. Paul has managed to create a plan for him over the summer which was engaging, clear and pupil-led. He understood exactly what was needed! Plus the video recordings of each lesson will be invaluable moving forward. Thank you Paul!

Linda Lo - Paul is an excellent tutor! My daughter is with him for a year. Paul was being referred to us by our guardian as our daughter had lost all her confidence in studying at her previous school. My daughter is not the type of pupil that whoever tutor you give her, she will listen. Finding a suitable tutor whom my daughter is willing to listen is vital important. Paul finds out the school curriculum (even I have no idea) and teaches my daughter. My daughter told me that Paul uses different teaching approaches with different pupils. With Paul, our daughter gets confidence in her studies, she loves Paul's lessons, and she gets academic rewards for previous term and this term! Thank you Paul!

Mrs Damluji - Nisha is an excellent tutor! She takes great care to ensure that my son understands every topic, and is very knowledgeable. We've seen a big improvement in both understanding and motivation. Thank you for all your efforts and support.

Mrs Deo - I used Ian for some revision sessions ready for my daughter's exam. He was always on time and prepared. He gave questions at the end of a session and marked these, with feedback, ready for the next. I would highly recommend him!

Mrs Tootill - Elenna has provided structured sessions and tailored feedback to help my son regain his confidence with A level chemistry. Elenna is warm, patient and sets an expectation that progress is possible and will be achieved. My son believes in himself again. Definitely recommend Elenna as a tutor!

Mrs Glassborow - Emilie has given my daughter Chemistry tuition for approximately 4 years, through both GCSE and A Level. She found ways of explaining which matched my daughter's learning style and if she didn't understand something the first time Emilie would explain it in a different way until it made sense. Emilie was always very patient and willing to recap as often as needed. My daughter is now at university and could not have completed her Chemistry qualifications without her. Thank you Emilie!!

Richard - Thank you Chrissy, for your hard work in supporting my daughter in Improving all her college work. You are an all-around Tutor for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This has really helped my daughter as she doesn't need to look for help anywhere apart from you. Your patience and commitment to supporting my daughter mean a lot to me.

Mrs Mckenzie - She is feeling much more confident about chemistry, thanks.

Location
Online Tuition: Involves a Chemistry tutor on the platform of your choice to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Online Tuition: Allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Chemistry tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Chemistry tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Chemistry tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between online, or small group Chemistry tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
