Mrs D Phillips - I just wanted to say once again how grateful we are for your support of Emma and all the kindness that you have shown her. Emma has always looked forward to her lessons with you and found them both fun and engaging. You have made a difference with her approach and confidence to her work and with her overall self-belief. You are a special tutor, and we have been so lucky to have found you. The teenage years are difficult, full of challenges and there is a lot of work involved in A levels. Emma has really valued your input during this part of her life and she is even more focused on her future and determined to find an interesting and fulfilling pathway ahead. Thank you, Frances. Wishing you good health and happiness for 2023. Kind regards Denise.
Mrs Barton - Francis is a highly productive tutor and got my 12 year-old boy on the right track after tremendous efforts. My son has been learning pretty much within a very short period of time. We hope to come back to him as soon as possible after a break.
Mrs K. Amos - Marion Trowell has been tutoring three of my children, my son who achieved top marks for GCSE, my daughter, who also achieved top grades for her A-level German. At the moment Marion is tutoring my youngest son for German GCSE. Marion is very competent in German, she has a lot of patience and a good sense of humour. I would certainly recommend her for anyone who wants to achieve good grades in exams.
Mrs S. O'connor - Marion has tutored my eldest daughter for German GCSE and Izzy achieved an A in her exams. My younger daughter and son have also been studying German with Marion and really enjoy her lessons. I would describe Marion as very conscientious and reliable. She is a very patient tutor and provides great tuition.
Mrs Armstrong - Hi Phyllis, Just to let you know that Amy got an A * in French with full marks for speaking. So she got her Cambridge place. Thanks so much again for all your help. It gave her so much more confidence having had very few opportunities to speak French.
Mrs Endler - Thanks so much for your help with German It was her highest mark at A level She's really enjoyed her sessions and there's no doubt it had a huge impact.
Mr Sudrathar - Dalia is a very good teacher. She understands the capacity of the child and based on this, she comes up with a strategy and a tailored approach for the child. My elder daughter was her student for 11+ preparation back in 2020. I am very happy with the way she used to teach her all the subjects. My daughter still talks about her after three years. My younger daughter is her student now and taking lessons for 11+. She knows exactly how to handle each child; she becomes one of them when teaching and ensures they get the maximum from the conversations she will have.
Dr Kumari - Dalia taught my son for his GCSEs. Her teaching helped him improve his German skills a lot and she was able to fix many of his weak points very efficiently. I can recommend that she is very reliable and a very good teacher.
Mrs Fu - Sarah is a very knowledgeable teacher, who can put a shy student at ease very quickly. My daughter started her weekly course with Sarah from Year 10 for GCSE French. We really appreciate the in-person tuition on writing, oral and listening French. My daughter has gained a lot of confidence and ability due to Sarah's great teaching. Her predicated grade for GCSE is 9 thanks to Sarah.
Mrs. J. Bulloch - Edelgard has taught my 14 year old daughter for a month now, and already her understanding of tenses has improved Edelgard uses lots of resources and so her lessons are varied, structured and progressive - she also includes me in her teaching plan & homework so I can ensure everything gets completed Very reliable & professional.
Miss L. Palmer - Edelgard is a wonderful tutor! She is very friendly and very encouraging, and always doing the most to help me. She has helped my grammar knowledge immensely, and I have watched it soar, and I would recommend her to everyone. I always enjoy our lessons and am very glad I chose her :)
Miss Isabella Kalisperas - Sandra was my tutor (both in person and online) for around 6 months to help prepare me for my university speaking exams. She was warm, helpful and encouraging. She was not only instructive in correcting my grammar and pronunciation but she also boosted my confidence in speaking, which was my main goal. She was an incredible tutor, who made learning and speaking languages less nerve-wracking and more fun!
Claudia F. - Caroline taught my daughter during the school year 2022/2023 to prepare her for her German GCSE. This took place during the school day as an extra-curricular activity in the format of 1:1 tutoring. Caroline was highly effective in adapting the curriculum to the limited time available (one year of teaching instead of two years, one lesson per week instead of multiple lessons). She motivated and supported my daughter with exam preparations by working with her strengths and focusing on specific improvement areas, e.g. by providing specific revision materials. Further, she arranged lessons and mock exams around my daughters' availability and even offered ad hoc support for questions during exam preparation periods during the school holidays. I appreciated that Caroline was always available for parent catch-up calls, and she kept in touch proactively through emails. She clearly has a great passion for her subject and is an effective teacher - my daughter very much enjoyed being taught by Caroline and was delighted to achieve a grade of 9.
S. Durban - Yasmin is a wonderful and knowledgeable tutor. She is very supportive and always encouraging me. Learning a new language has been very challenging for me and Yasmin has made all the difference by keeping me focused and making the sessions interesting and varied. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.
Mr. Terry Loane - On the basis of my experience, Mr. Kramer is a versatile, patient and skillful language teacher, who can use a wide variety of approaches and can thereby engage the interest of each student. (And as a retired educator I have very high standards when it comes to teaching!) I am very happy to recommend Mr. Kramer to anyone as a German teacher. I have no reservations about his suitability to teach students of any age.

Location
Online Tuition: Involves an A-Level German tutor on the platform of your choice to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. This can take place anywhere with an internet connection.
Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.
Individual Attention
Online Tuition: Allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the A-Level German tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.
Cost
Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your A-Level German tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition.
Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.
Flexibility
Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of A-Level German tutors.
Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.
Interaction
Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style.
Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.
The choice between online, or small group A-Level German tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
